The Your Career Match feature provides a quick summary of how well your Desired Occupation matches your Background information, focusing on your salary requirements, education level, and work experience. About Your Career Match

The Your Career Match page displays match score icons that show how closely your background aligns with your desired occupation in each category. If you have not entered your salary expectations, education level, or work experience in your background information, you will not see complete results (see Manage Your Background Information). If no labor market information exists for your desired occupation in your selected area, the system does not display a match score. Instead, a message displays stating that no information is available.

Steps to Review Career Match Information

Hover over any match score icon to view the exact match percentage. You can also hover over any link on the Your Career Match page to view a tooltip explaining its purpose. The linked text comes from your background information and varies for each user, as indicated by the bracketed variables in the table below.

Select...	To:
[number of] jobs	View the current openings in your desired occupation for your selected area. If no openings exist, this link displays as “0.”
[area name]	Go to the Area Profile, which summarizes Labor Market information for that location.
[education level]	Open the Background tab in your Personal Profile to update your education information.
[desired occupation]	View the Occupation Profile for your desired occupation, and its associated labor market information.
[number of months] of work experience	Open the Background tab in your Personal Profile to update your work experience information.
[salary]	Change your desired salary figure.
The Profile icon in the header bar	Update your background information, including your education, work experience, or desired occupation or salary.
Click here if you wish to change your desired occupation from [occupation name]	Change your desired occupation. After changing your occupation, you return to Your Career Match displaying the change.
