Use Match Your Occupation to find similar roles to your current or previous job based on the required knowledge, skills, and abilities. If you are thinking about switching careers, this feature shows how your existing skills can transfer to other fields.

Steps to View Related Occupations
Your site may display different options from those shown here.

Search for and select an occupation by keyword, from the link tree, or by selecting any search tab to use a different search method. See Search for an Occupation for details.
Once you select an Occupation, the Occupation Profile page displays with focus on Related Occupations. The page displays the current occupation at the top, which also applies to the information behind the category links.
For best screen reader compatibility, use the Occupations By Keyword tab.

| Viewed detailed reports |
Use the page links menu at the top to view detailed reports. Page link descriptions
Description link—View details on job duties, description of the work, and required education, experience, and training. Jobs link—See available jobs, area distribution, and openings in related occupations. Candidates link—View registered candidates in the system, including availability and area distribution. Supply and Demand link—Select to view jobs and candidates available for an occupation, area distribution, and a national supply and demand summary from the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics. Employers link—See employers currently hiring for the selected occupation. Education and Work Experience link—Review education levels, training programs, and required work experience for the occupation. Employment and Wages link—View employment outlooks, wage rates, and key industries. Skills link—Select to view a list of personal and professional skills most useful for the occupation. Nature of the Work link—Review common work activities, tasks, and tools used in the occupation. Job Requirements link—View licensing, abilities, interests, and work styles required for the job. Other—Select to view miscellaneous information, including related occupations and career ladders. |

Key Terms
Some occupations display an icon next to the Occupation Title indicating that it belongs to one of the categories listed below. You can find the icon key below the table grid, or hover over an icon for the tooltip description.

Bright Outlook — Bright Outlook occupations are expected to grow rapidly in the next several years and have large numbers of job openings, or are new and emerging occupations. Bright Outlook has two icons, one for Bright Outlook Nationally (represented by a sun icon), and another for Bright Outlook Statewide (also a sun icon, but solid dark).

Green Occupations — Green occupations increase the conservation and sustainability of natural resources, including jobs that reduce energy usage or lower carbon emissions. Green jobs provide worker-friendly conditions, pay sustainable wages, and offer opportunities for continued skills training and career growth. A leaf icon is used to indicate a green occupation.
