Add or Edit Résumé Detailed References
Overview
Adding references acts as social proof of your skills, work ethic, and professional character. Hiring managers often verify references late in the hiring process. Including references saves them a step and demonstrates transparency, which can accelerate trust and possibly the hiring timeline.

Header bar > Profile icon > Background tab > Résumé Items > Detailed References section > Add a New Reference link

Steps to Complete the Detailed References Page
Your site may display different options from those shown here.
The following steps outline how to effectively add and manage your detailed references.

Enter the First Name and Last Name for the reference.

Enter all other required fields, marked with a red asterisk (*):

Enter a Zip code in the Reference Contact Address section.

If unknown, select the Find Zip Code link to open the U.S. Postal Service website in a new tab where you can search for it.

Select a Reference Type from the drop-down list in the Reference Information section and select the Number of Years Known.

Enter all other available information for the reference.

Select the Save button to return to the Background tab or the Next button in the background wizard to save and proceed to the next page.
